Track Indoor is Sharee's indoor positioning and proximity detection solution. Powered by Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.0) beacons, each device continuously broadcasts a unique identifier detected by nearby receivers or smartphones. The Sharee Tracking platform triangulates these signals to determine asset positions within 1-3 meters, enabling automatic, hands-free indoor asset tracking without manual scanning. Also known as an indoor positioning system (IPS).

How many receivers does Track Indoor need?
Coverage depends on your floor plan. As a general rule, place one Bluetooth Low Energy receiver every 15-30 meters for room-level accuracy, or every 5-10 meters for precise indoor positioning. A typical 1,000 sqm office floor needs 4-6 receivers. Our team provides coverage planning as part of Professional tier onboarding.
Can employees use their phones as receivers?
Yes. The Sharee mobile app turns any smartphone into a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) receiver, supplementing your fixed infrastructure. This is especially useful in buildings where installing fixed receivers isn't practical. In these cases, employee phones passively detect nearby Track Indoor beacons.
How does Track Indoor compare to Track Global?
They solve different problems. Track Global (GPS/GNSS) excels outdoors with global satellite range but limited indoor accuracy. Track Indoor (Bluetooth BLE) excels indoors with 1-3m precision but limited range. Many organizations use both: Track Global for equipment that moves between sites, Track Indoor for indoor positioning within buildings.
